Project of all projects!

This was quite the undertaking! We had an order from a bride for 170 caramel apples for her wedding favours. It took many hands, and many hours, but we all worked together to get this big order together on time! We used Empire apples, which were picked that week down the road from us. We did learn though, that you shouldn't cover your apples all the way to the stick, because air escapes from here and can cause bubbles in your caramel. We made extras and were able to taste them, and loved them! Caramel apples are one of my favourites, especially when they are drizzled in chocolate as well! mmmm!

Step 1: Get all of your supplies together and ready to go before starting. (this is key!)
Step 2: Wash, dry and prepare the apples. (Great job Mrs. C!)
Step 3: Caramelize! or Dunk your apples in the warm caramel, swirl and place on parchment paper to set. (My Mom's preferred job)
Step 4: Drizzle or decorate with your favourite toppings. (Thanks neighbour for helping decorate!)
Step 5: Eat and enjoy!
