Sweets experiments!

Here are a couple experiments that I was doing while I was bored! Blue cupcakes with a chocolate buttercream icing and mini oreo cheesecakes. They both turned out pretty good and I would definately make them again!

19th Birthday Martini cake and cookies

This cake, along with the cute little martini cookies, was done for a 19th birthday party.
It was actually done for my brothers girlfriend. Not only was the cake purple and green on the outside, but on the inside too! I love experimenting with colours! She enjoyed the cake too! Next time I am not going to use as much filling, as the cake kind of bulged. Learning as we go, but otherwise looked good. Sorry I didn't get a really good picture of this one.

Cinderella slipper cake

This cake was so much fun! When I had an open palette to make whatever I wanted, I had a tough time deciding. But in the end I don't know why I didn't pick a Cinderella theme in the first place. Cinderella is my favourite!
This pillow cake is a strawberry cake, covered in marshmellow fondant. The shoe (which was hard!) is made out of cake, as requested. I think next time I would make it out of rice krispies.

Motorcycle Cake

I am long overdue for a post on here! The pictures are all just taking up space on my computer. Anyways, things have been going well. This cake here was a different request. The customer wanted a lemon poppyseed cake (family tradition) with a cream cheese frosting. I was happy with the consistancy of the cake and the icing held up quite well too! This cake was 2 layers and fed around 30 people. I had fun decorating the motorcycle and hope it looked like the real deal!
