Fall Wedding Cake
What an honour it was to get a request for a wedding cake from doing a bridal shower cake! I was so excited to work on this simple, but beautiful cake. The layers were marble with chocolate buttercream, red velvet with a cream cheese icing and white chocolate with a raspberry buttercream filling. I enjoyed doing this cake but found it a bit stressful as I know how important brides want every little detail to be on their wedding day. Overall, it turned out as I hoped it would, to God be the glory. Hope you enjoy it!

Christmas Decorating
Well since we are in the process of looking for a house, we have no Christmas decorations up yet :( Sooo I had to decorate something, and this blog is what gets it! Sorry to all of those who just can't get in the spirit this early. I just looooovvve Christmas time, and I want to enjoy it as much as possible this year! Love you all and Merry early Christmas! May the real reason for this season fill your hearts with joy "for unto us a child is born" - what a celebration that is!

Jungle Theme Shower
What a joy it was to do this cake! Again I was given free range to do whatever and I decided to follow the cute pattern that they had chosen for the theme of their nursery. It was a jungle themed crib set with the cutest little animals on it. I just had to re-create them!
So away we went. David also help with the assembling of the cake and cutting out MANY circles, of which I didn't use even a quarter of (thanks love!). Overall I was very pleased with the cake and heard already that it was a big hit at the shower!
Here was the final product!

A picture of the turtle, zebra (my favourite - I liked his mohawk!) and monkey.

The elephant and giraffe.

The giraffe and parrot.

Project of all projects!
This was quite the undertaking! We had an order from a bride for 170 caramel apples for her wedding favours. It took many hands, and many hours, but we all worked together to get this big order together on time! We used Empire apples, which were picked that week down the road from us. We did learn though, that you shouldn't cover your apples all the way to the stick, because air escapes from here and can cause bubbles in your caramel. We made extras and were able to taste them, and loved them! Caramel apples are one of my favourites, especially when they are drizzled in chocolate as well! mmmm!
Step 1: Get all of your supplies together and ready to go before starting. (this is key!)

Step 2: Wash, dry and prepare the apples. (Great job Mrs. C!)

Step 3: Caramelize! or Dunk your apples in the warm caramel, swirl and place on parchment paper to set. (My Mom's preferred job)

Step 4: Drizzle or decorate with your favourite toppings. (Thanks neighbour for helping decorate!)

Step 5: Eat and enjoy!

Birthday Cupcakes
I had an order for a sweet little girl's 4th birthday in October. I was given free range of what to do and decided to run with the girl theme and put pretty little butterflies on the cupcakes, as well as #4's. All, of course, done in pinks and purples. Even the insides of these cupcakes were swirled with colour. I hope she enjoyed them as much as I enjoyed making them.

Thanksgiving!
Well, it has been quite a while since I have been on here with any updates, so I'll post a few while I'm on here!
These were a trial run of something to come!
We were quite busy over the Thanksgiving weekend, with lots of treats to make and work and get togethers. Here was one of the orders that I worked on for the weekend - cake truffle turkeys! They ended up really cute, and oh so yummy. There is also a picture in here of pumpkin cake truffles. These were a bit more simple to make, but still gave every plate a fall feeling! Enjoy the pics!
